Our take on Kayo the Penguin: Calm Audio Stories for Kids podcast

Kayo the Penguin is a quiet audio series for children from HolaOla, a two person studio in Poland.

A lot of audio made for small children is loud. This one is not. No sudden stings, no shouting, no sound effect built to make a child sit up. The music is original, written for the series, and it stays under the story. We made the episodes for the car and for the end of the day, when the point is to come down rather than wake up.

Kayo is a small penguin who leaves his island with Hugo the whale and meets one animal per episode: a whale, an elephant, a giraffe, a koala, a snow monkey in Japan. Each story ends with real facts about that animal. Episodes run about twenty minutes.

Written by Jakub Leśniak. The English narration is produced with the licensed voice model of our narrator, Ola Stalmach, who reads the Polish edition herself.
